You're talking about tl;dr, which means "too long; didn't read." I probably should have included an explanatory note, as a lot of people seemed to have trouble with that. It was less well known an acronym than I thought. :/
Believe it or not, that is the less-ambivalent-ending version. :) I like to think that when Rodney writes "you can thank me when I get there" he means he is going to see John and there will be a lovely off-screen reunion.
