Seven stories

I feel bad about not staying current with
mcshep_match thing, because it seems like a lot of people are losing interest and/or having a hard time keeping up (less comments on the newer stories, anyway). And I want to support my team! So here's my rundown of the stories since my last installment. Select whatever seems interesting to you, and don't forget to leave feedback (like I always do)! (Honestly, though, I feel weird about leaving feedback for my own team, because what do I do about my own story? So I just haven't been.)
Aftermath: On the Trail of Polaris: A quiet, meditative post-everything story. With a side of a sort of Due South-ish Northern Canada Wilderness reverence.
Shot in the Dark: Machinery of Night: Suspense! Mystery! Gradually building creepiness, and kind of a Dead Again vibe.
Transformation: Life (Sometimes It Washes Over Me): Since I'm not typically an AU-reader, this is one of the furthest from canon stories I've read--having both an AU setting, young teenage ages for John and Rodney, and a Meredith-inspired transgender Rodney arc--but somehow the mannerisms and in-situation-reactions, particularly of Rodney, are faithful to the characters.
Fly on the Wall: Mirror, Mirror: Refreshingly unusual Elizabeth POV and exploration of some interesting issues (and an edgy and rough and totally believable J/R dynamic).
Sacrifice: Responsibility: The angst of the un-resolution in this story left a lot of commenters clamoring for a sequel--and there is a situation set up which could certainly be explored further--but I kind of like where it leaves off, in no-good-solution-ville.
Strategy: In A Dark Wood: About 25% of the way through this there is really badass moment where things come together. I hope your knowing that ahead of time doesn't spoil it!
Famous Last Words: Midnight Shakes the Memory: Amnesia!John! This ends heartbreakily. I hope your knowing that ahead of time doesn't spoil it!
I'll probably do another rundown-style post in another week or so, since I've still got moving to do. See you on the other side!
