even though i'd never touch RPS with a barge pole (heh, phallic symbolism), i see your point. i think RB is a closet slasher.

not so sure about GM, tho. he had fun with the "commentary" at Return to Cascade, but i suspect he was just playing to his audience. plus he has just as dirty a mind as RB...

Depends on who we're RP slashing but GM/RB; noooooo! - Even though they seemed determined to put such ideas in our dirty little heads.

I'd feel uncomfortable writing RPS but I'm not as hardline anti it as I was when I first stumbled over it; it shocked me more than the most lurid porn. I've mellowed out a lot since then.

But yes, they seem pretty relaxed about the whole Jim/Blair deal. GM/RB? They'd probably wonder what the hell we were smoking ::g::

The ironic thing is if that the bloopers had been part of the show, we'd be arguing J/B was canon :-)

I love eliade's fic, 'Strains May Float' where they're both happily seeing other women (and in Jim's case, men) but still fucking each other and gradually falling deeper in love without quite realising it's happening, because it's such a refreshing change to all the fics where they're insanely jealous/possessive/only meant to be with each other.

Not that I don't like those kinds of fics, too :-)
