Highway Cops

What was the Highway Cops skit on this week's SNL supposed to parody--Starsky and Hutch? (I've never actually seen Starsky and Hutch, so I'm really asking.) Despite the 70s setting, it did remind me, in spirit, of The Sentinel. Did you guys catch the bank robber? What? We were busy watching the leaves change.

If it's Highway Cops, it might also be spoofing CHiPs - which featured a blond guy and a dark curly haired guy also.
