Sentinel 2x11

I only meant to watch a few minutes before getting dressed and doing the things I need to do today, but I finished the recap and with it, the first half of season 2.

2x11 Black or White Pretty boring episode, but I do it up in exquisite detail as usual.

it's not my favourite because I have developed an utter loathing for the overuse of 'obfuscation' in fic and this is the episode that gave us that word.

I know it's not fair of me.

I do like that they didn't make it a simple racial hatred inspired bombing to start off with; that was an interesting twist and somehow, oddly, it seems more despicable that way because of the ramifications and fallout. All that fear, destruction, risk of death, and stirred up emotions and it's just to get demolition contracts? That's wicked.

Watching, my main reaction to that twist was "this is kind of a stretch," but I think you're right-- it's strangely more evil that way. (Although I think the in-show Powers That Be had more sympathy with Contracts Guy than with Racist Guy. But then they both ended up dead. I have been sort of thinking about how the in-show Powers That Be punish people more severely for being more evil--the worst villains die (through no fault of Jim's), while the sympathetic or likeable ones (Micki Kamarev, Gustavo Alcante) might just get arrested or get away. Correct me if I'm wrong. Only, don't, because I actually haven't seen about half the episodes yet.)
