I really love the progression in this, from a nearly-canonical level of Rodney-embarrassment, through his stages of self-realization, to him seeing what's really going on with John. I particularly liked the dream -- I've had dreams like that, where they're not clear but they still seem real. Much more like a real dream than most dreams are in fiction.
And I *really* like that Rienn stayed. It made John's choices even more real.
