I'm glad the characterization worked for you. I have to admit part of Blair's reaction there is pure me - but I think it's human nature, kind of, when you start arguing a point, you don't tend to back down, even if you kind of really want to.
And I'm glad you were able to follow it without knowing the game! (Honestly, not understanding the game usually increases my enjoyment of game stories.)
