Sentinel 1x3 Killers
I was going to work on my WIP today, but instead I did another one of these.
1x3 Killers "[Jim and Beverly] talk about their exes and then Jim stops suddenly. 'What's wrong?' 'Oh, I was just thinking about Danny...' Face, meet palm."

Although, it turns out the stripey blanket on the couch was Jim's all along.
Was it an official Big Brother program thing? My impression was that Jim took Danny under his wing informally.
Re: the last scene, in Blair's defense, Jim voluntarily and without provocation giving a vivid description of a sensory experience of exactly the kind that Blair would find most useful. A look of "oh my god I can't believe this is happening must encourage him to keep going where is my notebook" is warranted. It was a bit over the top, though. :)

From the transcript:
Simon: Danny lost his dad when he was a little kid. When Jim was in college, he became his big brother. They were real close. Jim was the one who helped Danny get into the academy.
It's such an unusual way to describe it if it's not uppercase official Big Brother; wouldn't you say, 'mentor' or 'friend'?
Although as Jim was supposed to run off at a young age and enlist after the incident with the car, that really messes up the continuity, come to think of it; when did Jim ever go to college? Or maybe I just assumed he didn't...Eh. I dunno :-)

You're right--now that I look at the dialogue, it seems more likely that it's an official big-brother thing. So what, Jim has known Danny since Danny was like eight? No wonder he was so upset.
