Sentinel 1x1 The Switchman

1x01 The Switchman "[Blair Sandburg] is a squirrelly long-hair who looks and approximately acts like the love child of Noel from Felicity and Mr. Turner from Boy Meets World, if that love child came out really short and spoke with an approximately 1:1 ratio of the word 'man' to all other words."

Okay, that line was from the original, inconsistently detailed version of this recap. But I promise it's longer now. Approx. 4,000 words longer. Hey, the pilot deserves excruciating detail.

YAY! More recaps; I've missed them.

And I love the handy roundup at the end :-)

The touching is incredible; from minute one they're all over each other; got to love it. And I'm convinced the kiss felt good becasue he was online now; I keep meaning to fic that but it's probably been done to death, anyway. But he reacts so strongly to the 'touchy-feely' comment that you just KNOW he's jerked off at some point since the senses kicked in and pretty much passed out, it was so good.

Too bad there are only 10 episodes in s1. I'll have to go on to another show. :)

I wish I'd done the roundups from the beginning; I think I mostly count things I would have noted in the recap, so I can probably add them from that if I want to, but I might miss some things, especially sense uses. There are so many that I might not have noted every one.

It's not made 100% clear that the kiss is a supertactile thingy, but they do close-up on the lips all significant-like, and Carolyn notes that Jim didn't used to kiss her like that, so I'm going go with 'yes' there.

I didn't think through why Jim was so annoyed at the "touchy-feely" remark, except that he's kind of prudish and private generally, but you're so, so right.

I really think it's the best explanation for the OTT reaction; I mean; this is a doctor (supposed to be) and they ask all sorts of personal questions but Jim just flies off the handle here.

Because he's thinking back to the night before AND his body knows what's in store with Blair, even if his brain's a few scenes behind ;-)

And the kiss is in the credits; isn't it in the frame with the word 'touch'? That's one hot kiss, even if it's not Blair on the receiving end. RB's got this habit of really grabbing onto hair and getting very intense; he does it in other shows so I'm thinking it's his normal MO :;fans self::, but sticking with Jim here, he's going to love kissing Blair ;-)

Oh yeah, you're right. I always skip the credits.

Hee! Great recap, I loved it. Although the part that had me on the floor was your description of the superpowered A-team witnessing Blair rescuing Jim from the garbage truck...

Are you going to redo all of Season One, then?

Hey, thanks! :)

Redoing season 1 is the plan!

I will quite possibly love you forever... The recap had me in laughter tears!

Thanks! :D

I feel like I've recapped "The Switchman" a thousand times now, although I guess it's really just three. Still, I feel confident at my chances in the fictional contest "Sentinel Trivia."

OK, still haven't gotten to your Sentinel fics yet, but if your recaps are any indication, I'm going to love them! I think I'll save 'em for slow periods at work tomorrow. I love you for commenting on the "*all* tribal cultures" thing, because every frigging time I see the credits to that show, it pisses me off. There isn't *anything* you can say is true about "all tribal cultures." (Well, maybe "all all tribal cultures, people have to eat, drink, piss, crap, and sleep." But that's not just tribal cultures, either.) Anyway, I greater-than-three you for mentioning that!

Hee hee! Yeah, Blair basically speaks entirely in BS. Hence his initials I guess. I'm glad you like the recaps!
