3x14 Mirror Image "Serious as hell, he says, 'Sandburg is risking his life here. I need to know these things.' Oh, you do not want to mess with Jim when Blair is in danger. I wouldn't even want to mess with Jim when Blair is on an airplane or at a party with drinking or five minutes late coming home for supper."

And the doctor in this is Colin Cunningham (Major Davis from SG-1) and I adore him.

The grabbing and clutching in the corridor is something I may have freeze framed through every time I watch the episode once or twice.

My icon explains why :-)

At the end, it's totally Blair's fault the bad guy knows Jim's up there; Blair sees Jim and gives it away; bad guy tracks Blair's gaze. Bad Blair.

*g* That cap is great. It's not just the way Blair has Jim's coat fisted, it's the way Jim's holding Blair.

Yeah, it's totally Blair's fault. He couldn't keep that "Jim!" look off his face. For people whose lives routinely depend on each other, these guys are not that good at not letting their personal feelings endanger each other.

When you freeze frame it, there's this bit when Blair bats away Jim's hand as they're going down the corridor to peek in the stairwell, almost as if it's too much concern. But they seriously don't lose contact for AGES.

And I know, but I can't blame them too much. It's like Gustavo and the blowtorch; does he threaten to use it on Jim? No. He threatens to use it on Blair -- but carries on asking JIM the questions. And he's only just met them!

Ah, my initial reading of that bit was that they were instinctively going to hold hands, but then they kind of jerked away like 'seriously? we're holding hands?' but then they kind of reach for each other again. :)

Most bad guys seem to auto-focus on Blair as Jim's weak point. It's not like they really try to hide it. :)

::nods:: Yes, it does read that way -- but the fact that they almost did, says something and makes me happy :-)
