Waugh!

Voting will be closed on [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match on Wednesday-- the day before I get Internet-- so I don't even have time to read the stories, much less rec them. Yikes! What a disaster! Well, you can still read and vote. Let me know how it goes, all right? I'll be catching up after polls close.

I love that you have a tag titled "problems in my life". My goals in life are complete.
That is all.

McShep Match Master List

Just got to the McShep Master list and immediately looked for my favourite story of the match. It also happens to be the first one I read: "Rock, Paper (No Scissors)". I usually prefer romance to angst but your story just thrilled me in so many ways.

First of all I have a real thing for epistolary stories. I think of all the stories I read yours fit the prompt best. (I wanted to give you an 11 on the scale) I also prefer Hurt!John to Hurt!Rodney (which seems more common in this fandom). But really, what does it for me is that torturing John does not change John but it changes RODNEY! This struck me as so true to the characters.

Like many I also had to look up "tl/dr" but that really made the ending have punch. I had to go back and re-read the whole thing. I am bookmarking this story and may even print it off (although I may have to play with the formatting).

Kudos again for a wonderful story, and for nearly ruining the rest of the match for me as I didn't read another story as fantastic at that first one.

Oh my goodness! *beams* I'm so happy that you liked it. When I got the "correspondence" prompt, I knew I had to do something at least partly epistolary - it's a favorite genre of mine, too. :) Thanks again -- this comment made my day!
